How to Throw the Ultimate Galentine's Day Party

Happy Galentine's Day! If you're a fan of Parks and Rec, you know what I'm talking about but if not, let me tell you that it's the best day of the year.

This past weekend my bestie hosted the most fabulous Galentine's Day party ever so I want to share what exactly made it the "BEST DAY OF THE YEAR."

First, there were waffles, because as Leslie would say, "We need to remember what's important in life: friends, waffles, work. Or waffles, friends, work. Doesn't matter, but work is third."

She outdid herself with the food which included frittata, honey baked ham, cheesy potatoes, fruit, mimosas, desserts galore, and cookies that looked and tasted like waffles.

But Galentine's Day is about more than just food. It's about ladies celebrating ladies, which is why the hostess (oh Stacey, you beautiful tropical fish. You're smart as a whip and you're cool under pressure) gave a five minute speech about how she met each lady in attendance and why they're important to her. Then we played "Name the Woman of Power," and Park and Rec bingo for prizes which included a Pawnee Goddesses bag, a Little Sebastian t-shirt and the very same framed photo of Michelle Obama from Leslie Knope's office.

If you're a lady, today is the day to reach out to the women in your life and tell them just how freaking awesome they are. Happy Galentine's Day and remember hoes before bros, ovaries before brovaries, and uteruses always before duderuses.
